Summary of Supercomputer Access Requests

To request access or resources for the Buddy supercomputer Email the HPC Center with following credentials.

1. General Account Request
Who it's for: Professors, researchers, and their collaborators.
Key Information Needed: Your name, institutional username (UCO or external), department, required software, whether you need a project space, specific directory permissions for collaborators, and details about any students or external collaborators you need to add.

2. Classroom Account Request
Who it's for: Students using Buddy for a specific class (the instructor receives a General Account).
Permissions: Limited functionality; accounts expire when the class ends.
Key Information Needed: The class CRN and name, a two-column spreadsheet listing student names and emails, whether a shared classroom folder is needed, and specific directory permissions for students.

3. Software Request
Who it's for: Anyone needing new software installed on Buddy.
Key Information Needed: The name and version of the software, along with any other specific requirements.
